GLP-1 medications work by regulating appetite and blood sugar, so you feel full sooner and stay full longer. In clinical trials, adults lost an average of about 15% of their body weight on semaglutide and up to 20% on tirzepatide. We prescribe the FDA-approved medications (semaglutide as Wegovy and Ozempic, tirzepatide as Zepbound and Mounjaro) after an in-person evaluation with labs, and we manage your dose month by month.
